Colombian militants headed by Claudio Perrini (Cliff Curtis) attack the Colombian embassy in Los Angeles, inadvertently killing a CIA agent's wife and son. The agent,

Colombian militants headed by Claudio Perrini (Cliff Curtis) attack the Colombian embassy in Los Angeles, inadvertently killing a CIA agent's wife and son. The agent, Gordy Brewer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) assumes the US will put forth its utmost effort to capture and punish Perrini, but instead they forfeit their operations in Colombia.

That's when Brewer takes matters into his own hands, and travels to Perrini's own turf to capture him. Naturally, the task is far from easy, and straightforward plans quickly transform into utter chaos. Worse, a group of Perrini's supporters have just escaped from prison, and Gordy is their primary target.
