The prequel to the events featured in ‘Paranormal Activity’, the film starts in August 2006 when a seeming burglary causes Daniel (Brian Boland) to have security cams installed all over the house, where he, Kristi (Sprague Grayden), his wife, Ali (Molly Ephraim) his daughter, and Hunter his toddler all live. Though the whole house was vandalized, one room was untouched- that of their first-born son Hunter.

The security footage begins to show paranormal activity, that Daniel is skeptic to accept, at first. But as the evidence mounts, and Kristi and her sister Katie (Katie Featherston) try to explain to him their experiences of demon haunting as children, there comes a point where Dan has to decide how he will save his family from this demon…
