Derek Charles (Idris Elba) is a happily married man with an executive-level position at a finance company. Lisa (Ali Larter) is a coworker who repeatedly attempts to seduce Derek, ignoring his discomfort and disinterest. Frustrated, she slips a sedative into Charles' drink at a company retreat, and then has her way with him in a hotel room.

He awakes to find Lisa unconscious after an overdose, which she attempts to frame Derek for. Now his wife, Sharon (Beyoncé Knowles) begins to suspect an affair despite her husband's innocence. As Lisa's psychotic behavior increases, both Derek and Sharon live in constant fear.
Obsessed was nominated for an MTV Movie Award and three Teen Choice Awards. The picture earned $94 million internationally, easily recuperating its $20 million budget.
